Viola Desmond
When we talk about agents of change, we often think of Americans who are very well known. For example, Rosa Parks often comes to mind when we think of people who have worked for change and justice. However, there are many Canadians who have been inspirational change agents. Viola Desmond was a successful businesswoman who lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She experienced one of the most publicized incidents of racial discrimination in Canadian History. She showed the same kind of courage that Rosa Parks did. i think the similarity between rosa parks and viola desmond is that fot both of them a white man came and ask them to get up but both of them said no and both of them got arrested so both of them aare agents of change.

I think that scince Viola Desmond and Rosa parks kind of did the same thing, such as standing up for them selfs, so i think Rosa parks was the first one to stand up for her self and viola stood up for her self after Rosa did.

Viola Desmond is a agent of change because she helped her family get out of America not only she helped her family escace she also helped 300 people by going back to America.
I think that since Viola Desmond has the same courage as Rosa Park then she might have did a great job. She might have tried her best to change the world as a agent of social change. As I can see Viola's story that she didn't want to give up her at the theater and she was arrested just like Rosa Park when she didn't want to give up her sit at the bus and she was arrested for that.
Yes, I do see the similarity between her experience and Rosa Parks' experience. The similarity is that they both had been arrested for sitting in a place where only white people were allowed to sit. Also, they both stood up to it by disagreeing with it. I think we don't know much about Viola Desmond as we do about Rosa Parks because Rosa Parks was an African-American and in America there used to be a lot more RACISM than in Canada. So, it would spread around. But, in Canada RACISM wasn't that popular like in the U.S.A. That's why we don't know much about Viola Desmond.
I think Viola Desmond and Rosa Parks are similar because when a white man came and told them to get of the set they both didn't listen then the second time the man told them to get of but they said no.When they said no the man called the police and Rosa park got arrested and Voila Desmond got arrested because they didn't listen.I think this is not fair because it dosn't matter what ur skin color it's about how u fell.
I think the similarity beteween Rosa Park and Viola Desmond is that they both stood up for their rights and they both were asked to leave their seats on the bus or the movie theatre because a white man asked them to but they both said no and got arrested for that just because they said no to give up their seats for a white man.
The similarity between Rosa Parks and Viola Desmond is that Rosa Parks was sitting at the back of the bus and a white person asked her to get off but she wouldn't get off because she came from work and was was tired.then she got arrested because of not giving up her seat.It was the same for Viola Desmond she was sitting in the front row of a movie theatre.She was arrasted because of not sitting in the balcony where the black people usually sit.
I can see that Viola Desmond is the similarity has Rosa Park because when Viola Desmond was siting in the theatre, a man told here to get off, it is the same has Rosa Park when a person told here to but it was a different place. We were talking more about American, but are other people in Canada like Viola Desmond she was standing up for people rights. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Park and other people too they were standing up for people rights. Today now there are people who are respecting each others.

i think that Viola Desmond wasnt much known as Rosa Parks because Rosa Parks started a strike of people not coming on buses and Viola Desmond did stand up for her rights but not as much as rosa parks stood up for her rights. I think that they are both similar because thy both were forced to get off of where whites were supposed to sit.
