I think that an agent of social change is someone (or something?) that changes society. Some agents of change are famous and heroic (like Rosa Parks, Ghandi and Nelson Mandela). My question is, how can I be an agent of social change?

In our class we think we can start being agents of change by thinking about The Golden Rule. Sometimes the best thing we can do is an act of kindness towards another person that treats them the way we would like to be treated.
Grade 5, Ms. Lloyd challenges you to keep a list in your author's notebooks about the acts of kindness you do each day at home and at school!
i think an agent of a social change is someone that changes the bad rights and freedoms of a country. I get this idea because by thinking of Canada, I always wonder, I wonder why Canada has proper rights and freedoms and not some other countries don't. In our school, I think it is really good that the Me TO We club is starting to be great leader and trying to make people see the world of people living in poverty.

For example: we don't want to pollute the air and use greenhouse gas so we use the three R's ( Reduce,Reuse,Recyle).Right now Creascent Town School is making a difference by having a Crescent Town Penny Drive.When Crescent Town collects enough money the money will go towards building a school in Sri Lanka.

I think that it connets to the school subject because we are raising money every year.Like,last year we had a popcorn and freezie sale.This year we are having a penny drive,we raised money to continue Terry Fox's dream to get money for people that have cancer.We also brought in food iteams,and wetry to clean up the enviroment, and throw garbage (e.g the 3 r's recycle,reduce,and reuse).We are tring to build a school in Sri Lanka.:D.
